Mike Landrum, Managing Principal

Considering Mike’s extensive background in accounting, you would probably be surprised by his well-rounded ability to see both the right- and left-brain nuances of the business world. In his joint roles as President/Principal and Chief Operating Officer, Mike certainly has an opportunity to keep his eyes on the numbers, but he also manages to lend his guidance and expertise to the more creative and forward-looking parts of the business. In addition to his years of work in the world of AV, Mike has also served in managerial positions in the insurance, chemical, and risk management industries. Mike earned his BS in Business from a quaint little school just west of here… the University of Alabama… so don’t bother to call him during Tide football games.

Kevin Powers, Managing Principal

If, through your experiences with Technical Innovation, you get the feeling that “exceptional customer service” is a rallying cry around here, you need look no further than Kevin Powers for the one stoking that fire. A focused and energetic leader, he has developed a solid reputation over the past 25 years of building and managing organizations that strive to exceed customer expectations. The architect of Technical Innovation’s core values, Kevin always looks to have his team measure their decisions based on what it right for the clients, the team, and the company… knowing that success comes from delivering quality on a consistent basis. A graduate of Penn State University, Kevin’s allegiance to Joe Paterno is both inspirational and unnerving at the same time.

Sonny Davis, Principal
Sonny's 30+ years of experience in the audio visual/video industry run the gamut from manufacturer representative to manufacturer to dealership owner. He owned and started five other entrepreneurial companies associated with the industry. They include manufacturing, rental, security, videotape duplication, and staging. All of these ventures were successful within their own rights and operations. Sonny began his working career in college repairing photographic and audio/visual equipment. He received an Industrial Management Degree in Engineering from Southern Polytechnic Institute and also attended Auburn University. A past president of InfoComm, Sonny continues to remain a respected, honored, and well-liked member of the national AV community.

David Sharp, Chief Financial Officer

As chief financial officer at Technical Innovation, David oversees all administrative operations, as well as serving as the company’s liaison with banks, audit firms, and tax authorities. For more than 28 years, David has managed financial and operations teams for a number of companies. A certified public accountant, he earned his BBA from the University of West Georgia. His past 15 years has been spent exclusively in the audio-video industry. His administration team here at Technical Innovation serves the varied needs of the entire TI family of companies.

Kellie Brendle, General Counsel
Kellie has worked within the transactional area of finance and accounting for more than 20 years. She received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Auburn University and received a Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School. Kellie is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and Atlanta Bar Association, and a section member of Corporate Counsel and Creditor’s Rights. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Commercial Law League of America. Kellie is admitted to practice before all Georgia courts and the U.S. District Court, Northern Georgia. Kellie also holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from the Florida Institute of Technology and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

Fred Innes, Vice President – Information Technology

A long and diverse career has well-prepared Fred Innes for his position as vice president of information systems at Technical Innovation. In his current role, he is responsible for the management of technological initiatives at Technical Innovation. His areas of expertise include telecommunications, video, systems and networks architecture, and administration. Prior to joining Technical Innovation, Fred served as the Director of Information Technology for a number of companies, including The Myers Group. He also served as the Director of Telecommunications for the Boston Medical Center. Fred received his B.A. in Economics and a M.B.A. from Auburn University.

Norman Blatch, Administration Manager

A native of Miami (and a big Dolphins fan), Norman moved to the Atlanta area in 1997, where his work history included managerial positions at Coastal Unilube Oil Company and Tech Aerofoam. He joined the TI family of companies in 2000 and now serves as the Administration Manager for Technical Innovation. In addition to overseeing administrative procedures for the company, Norman manages the order entry/purchasing department, ensuring a high-quality, timely process. His duties also include vendor relations, where he seeks optimum pricing and availability of equipment and hardware. Known for his tough negotiating skills (both inside and outside the company), Norman has an impressively disarming smile and an almost obsessive love of golf.

Jim Fox, Marketing/Communications Director
Jim’s more than 20 years in the marketing communications field includes positions such as marketing director at European American Bank in New York, business development manager at Welch & Nehlen Advertising on Long Island, and creative director at Crescent Communications in Atlanta. Here at Technical Innovation he oversees all communications initiatives (marketing/advertising/public relations) for all of the Technical Innovation companies, in addition to managing internal communications programs. A graduate of Adelphi University in Garden City, NY (BA in business management), Jim also serves as the in-house musical director/master-of-ceremonies at TI. He believes that a messy desk is the sign of an active mind.
